Hmm...what are the alternatives? Keep him alive and wait to see what they do with our guys. Sounds reasonable. Also places him in a position of control. Of course he's thinking Americans are screwed either way. Keep him alive, and we are allowing him to control us. Execute the man (as I believe they will), and he will do the same to our boys if they are caught. So this is what it means to be free. This is what led Bush to attack Saddam Hussein...At this point I would not be surprised to watch our 'leader' play right into his hands. Try to negotiate, i.e. Perhaps Osama is alluding to the 'kinder and gentler' treatment of our soldiers, rather than the 'silver platter' option. Oh sounds good. Let's trust him along with the Russians. Another beautiful step towards "World Peace". Spare us!
ReplyDeleteOff topic: Do you think Americans could elect a candidate with the name Lee Harvey Osbald? I don't think a mother would ever name her child Lee Harvey, but if she did, would you vote for him?
Did I say 'our boys'? I'm sorry. Men. 0ur men.
ReplyDeleteYou see I grew hearing adults speak of our soldiers as 'Our boys'. It made me feel as if we were all one family. It had a certain comforting sound, as if they were covered in prayer by the folks back home, that they were the sons of ALL AMERICANS, and wherever they were, they knew it and felt loved. I like saying " Our boys" because they ARE young men, and we forget sometimes that they while they are capable and respected, that many are still maturing and they need to remain in our thoughts and prayers, the same as if they were boys. Oh I am rambling. Sorry. G'nite.
Those pics remind me how hair and headgear can really alter a man's appearance, and how the way you choose to look can influence the way people respond to you.
ReplyDeleten terms of make-overs, Obama could do an Osama, and visa-versa, but while Joe Biden could do a Bin-laden, I am not sure Bin Laden could do a Joe Biden.
I know you get that as you are something of a chameleon, yourself.
Off topic response: I don't think that the name Adolph has been all that popular since WWII. So I guess certain names do and will carry a stigma once tainted.
ReplyDeleteyeah, BT, some names just never recover once the damage is done.
