Will defect for food...



Iran nuclear scientist defects to U.S.

Well, I hope after this guy is done defecting and spilling the beans on Mr. Members Only's plans for nuclear devastation that he has future employment plans outside his area of expertise. The last time a nuclear power plant was built I was graduating from high school. Yeah, Class of 76. Just last week Obama signed an agreement with Russia to drop our drawers while grabbing our collective ankles by reducing our nuclear arms and trusting them to do the same. Not much call for nuke guys here in the USA.
So what to do? Well, windmills and solar panels are becoming all the rage. But would that be like a guy who used to build flamethrowers being employed to now make matches? Or a builder of rocket ships now building model airplanes? If the guy can crunch numbers and crack skulls he should head to the IRS straight away to apply for one of those 12,000 new jobs Obama has commanded in order to enforce his new Socialist Health Plan. Being from Iran I'm sure the guy has some experience working for totalitarian regimes. A perfect fit. But maybe when he sees how corrupt this regime is he may want to defect again. But to where???
Now you know how the rest of us feel.

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- After years of keeping quiet about his personal life, pop star Ricky Martin has announced that he is gay..

"I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man," Ricky said in a message posted on his official Web site. "I am very blessed to be who I am."

BT comment: I really don't get this on many levels. Obviously, because I am heterosexual I don't get it. But even more so, I don't get all of the hoopla surrounding someone "coming out". In some instances it's no surprise. But still, what is the big deal? I don't say that all gay people are like this, but there are those in the gay community who don't want anybody to tell them how to live, yet they tell everybody how they live. Who cares?! They come out like it's a 13 year old Jewish boy(only as far as the hoopla, not a lifestyle reference)on his Bar Mitzvah. But instead of "Today I am a man!", it's "I'm gay!". I can appreciate the centuries old religious ceremony for it's solemnity. But to loudly and broadly announce your preference in sexual partners is at the very least uncouth. I don't see or hear anyone tweeting or posting or yelling to the world "I'm hetero!".
The other thing that eludes me is that there is usually some sort of adjective adjoined to the connotation of the words "gay" and "homosexual". Now I may be overstating this matter and if so, please forgive me. I just remember that when the disgraced and adulterous ex-governor of New Jersey, Jim Mcgreevey announced that he was gay he said that he was "a gay American". Why not just gay? The American part was a given. Was it supposed to impart a certain kind of patriotism to his gayness? Gay or straight the guy was an adulterous lech. He cheated on his wife while his sexual proclivities skewed his professional judgement. Making poor choices that involved homeland security. So the gay part aside, he was a bad American governor and an even worse husband. Just a thought, maybe that gay part was thrown in so that any railings against him would automatically be considered a hate crime. Even if such accusations had little or nothing to do with his lifestyle choice.
And now we have Ricky Martin, the "Fortunate homosexual man". Such a grand pronouncement. It's too long, it's redundant(we know he's a man), it's braggadocios(am I to assume being straight I am less fortunate?) and last of all, who the hell cares??? Go live your life like most of us do. Toiling in anonymity. Living our lives. Paying our bills. Etc, etc, etc.
Finally, I do not agree with the homosexual lifestyle. Biblically and morally I think it is wrong. However, I do believe that God loves all people, all sinners, regardless of what they have done or failed to do. It would be easy to stigmatize one group or one type of behaviour. The truth is that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. My intent here was not to bash gays in any way. I am only noting my failure to grasp the pomp and circumstance that sometimes accompanies this choice. I know from people who have come out of this lifestyle that it is anything but gay. I do not speak as an expert on this particular subject, just as one who has had his own share of hurts, disappointments and failures that manifested themselves in other ways that only lead to self destruction. It is only by the grace of God through Christ that my sins were washed away and my heart is continually being made whole. Far from perfect with eterntiy to plumb the depths and riches of His love. So it's not for me to approve or disapprove of someone's lifestyle. I am entitled to my opinion as are we all. I do not judge, only opine.
I am a born again, overly blessed, middle aged, baseball loving, Cowboys hating, liberal loathing, conservative, blogger, Rush and Beck listening, heterosexual American.
There. I think that about covers it.

Landmarks, cities worldwide unplug for Earth Hour

LONDON – Europe's best known landmarks — including the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben and Rome's Colosseum — fell dark Saturday, following Sydney's Opera House and Beijing's Forbidden City in joining a global climate change protest, as lights were switched off across the world to mark the Earth Hour event.

In the U.S., organizers said some of the participating landmarks would be the Mt. Rushmore presidential monument, the glittering Las Vegas strip and the marquee lights of Broadway theaters in New York.

Millions of people were turning off lights and appliances for an hour from 8:30 p.m. in a gesture to highlight environmental concerns and to call for a binding pact to cut greenhouse gas emissions. This year's was the fourth annual Earth Hour, organized by the World Wildlife Fund.

As each time zone reaches the appointed hour, skylines go dark and landmarks dim, from a Manila shopping mall to Berlin's Brandenburg Gate and the Empire State Building in New York.

"I think it's great to see that hundreds of millions of people share this common value of lowering our carbon footprint," said Dan Forman, a spokesman for WWF in Washington.


BT comment: If global warming is a real thing(which it's not) it is caused by all of the methane gas from all of the lying crap that is spread about it's existence. But in the spirit of the event I have proceeded to turn on every light, TV, radio and kitchen appliance. I put my recyclables in with my regular trash. I started my car and let it run until the tank was on E. I turned up the heat and opened all of my windows. Then, for good measure, I ran outside wielding an aerosol can in each hand and emptied them into the atmosphere in an effort to open a big hole in the ozone layer right above my apartment. I am intent on leaving one big a$$ carbon foot print before this old carcass is unplugged for good.
The reality as far back as I can remember in grade school is that we emit carbon dioxide when we breathe. Plants use that same carbon dioxide in conjunction with water and sunlight(photosynthesis) to produce oxygen. That's what we breathe in. It's what we need to live.
I want a clean planet as much as the next person. Clean air. Clean water. That's the ticket. But I don't want to go back to the pre-industrial era and live like it's the 1700's. It is the free market, industialized democracies that contribute the most to a clean environment while still maintaining a high standard of living.
Stop worshipping the planet. Be good stewards of God's creation but don't make it an idol. Worship the Creator, not the creation. We should enjoy the advances in technology that we are blessed with and use them wisely. Stop buying into the whole Green Movement. It really is just a haven for the old Red Movement.
Socialism.

Binyamin Netanyahu humiliated after Barack Obama 'dumped him for dinner'

Of all the destructive policies of the Obama administration, I fear that none is more ominous and dangerous to America than his poor treatment of Israel.
For those who don't know the above scripture verses, it is God's promise to Abraham to bless those that bless him(and his descendants)and to curse those that curse him(and his descendants). It would appear that our anti-semite commander in chief is choosing the latter. Since God is eternal, as are His promises, this does not bode well for America.
As a person whose closest friends are Jewish, and as a christian who loves God and Israel I am very troubled by this change in policy towards America's closest, or for that matter, only ally in the Middle East. Maybe in the world. Obama's indignation, feigned or real, seems so petty and childish. To shun Israel's leader, not even over the building of legitimate apartments in their own land, but the timing of the announcement of said construction seems on it's face ridiculous. Then again, I don't imagine that someone named Barack Hussein Obama would posses great fondness for Israel or the jewish people.
Jews and Christian's alike should be forewarned, this administration is no friend to them or the God of the Old and New Testaments. This may only be the beginning of a wave of persection that is to come against us. We need to embrace our faith now more than ever. Of course I am aware that the Jewish faith does not accept Jesus as the Messiah. Even growing up in a Lutheran church I did not really believe it with my heart. Not until He revealed himself to me and by faith I trusted Him as God's Son and Saviour. To me, he is Yeshua Hamashiach.
So in these times, the Jews and Israel should have no greater allies than Bible believing christians. And although I can only pray that my Jewish friends would come to know Jesus, I would hope that those of them that may be afar off from their Jewish faith, would return to it with a new fervor and find solace in the midst of what may be coming on the horizon. For this present world system is no friend to any of God's people.
I will end with another Old Testament scripture penned by King David that Jews and Christians alike may agree upon and unite under:
"Yea, happy is that people whose God is the Lord" Psalms 144:15

BT comment: Here again is the raging arrogance of the anointed one. Inciting his political opponents(and the American people) by daring them to even try to turn back his horrendous healthcare reform bill. The pomposity of this fool is near equivalent to that of one of the Caesars of ancient Rome. But this man is not a king, not an emperor, not a dictator(yet). He is though a Marxist, Socialist Progressive. And that is antithetical to what our Founders believed and what the Constitution prescribes. NO man is above the law. No not even the pseudo messiah Barack Hussein Obama. One of my few comforts is from the book of Proverbs where King Solomon writes that pride comes before a fall, and a haughty spirit before destruction. Unfortunately, America may suffer collateral damage when BO reaps what he sows. Pray to God that is not so.
Finally, didn't the Left decry George W. Bush's alleged taunt during the Iraq war attacks when he said "Bring them on"? An obvious show of strength and assurance that Barack cannot muster as he bows to every leader or dictator while apologizing on behalf of his own country. Then the infamous "Lurch", John Kerry taunted Bush and Republicans during the debates leading up to the 2004 elections by boasting "Bring it on". See the pattern? Liberals can only mock and taunt their own law abiding citizens with opposing political views, but grab their proverbial ankles when it comes to facing down real evil in the world. In both cases I don't think the liberal Democrats know who they are dealing with, and if they keep pushing their progressive agenda here and abroad, they will soon find out.

WASHINGTON – The U.S. and Russia reached a breakthrough agreement Wednesday for a historic treaty to reduce the nuclear arsenals of the former Cold War rivals, the most significant pact in a generation and an important milestone in the decades-long quest to lower the risk of global nuclear war.

After long and trying negotiations, President Barack Obama and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev are to sign the treaty in two weeks in Prague, once final technical details are worked out, officials in Washington and Moscow said. The accord is expected to cut the number of long-range nuclear weapons held by each side to about 1,500, and it raises hopes for further disarmament in the years ahead.

The deal is seen as sealing an increased level of trust and cooperation between the U.S. and Russia, who possess the vast majority of the world's nuclear arms and have labored under strained relations in recent years.

Obama and Medvedev are expected to seal the deal when they talk by telephone this week, setting the stage for a White House campaign to win Senate ratification. The treaty also must win approval by the Russian Duma, and the two legislative processes are likely to take months.

BT comment: Do you get a bad vibe about this too? That instead of peace through strength we are signing away any kind of deterent to those who really hate our guts. Lord knows we can trust the Russians, right? They would never lie to us. Meanwhile, they are helping Iran rush towards nuclear capability. The same Iran that wants to annihilate us and wipe Israel off the face of the map. I just wish that liberals could do one thing right(possible pun intended). Either the domestic agenda or international affairs. Please, just pick one! But no. They choose to do both with pathetic alacrity. We are at risk from within, and when this treaty is signed, increasingly from without. And oh yeah, the Russians are drilling for oil in our own backyard off the coast of Cuba/Florida. Meanwhile we are scaling back our arsenal, building windmills and installing solar panels. Somebody ought to tell Obama and his ilk that when Russia, China and Iran come a knockin', it ain't gonna be no tickle fight.

No man thinks more highly than I do of the patriotism, as well as abilities, of the very worthy gentlemen who have just addressed the House. But different men often see the same subject in different lights; and, therefore, I hope it will not be thought disrespectful to those gentlemen if, entertaining as I do opinions of a character very opposite to theirs, I shall speak forth my sentiments freely and without reserve. This is no time for ceremony. The questing before the House is one of awful moment to this country. For my own part, I consider it as nothing less than a question of freedom or slavery; and in proportion to the magnitude of the subject ought to be the freedom of the debate. It is only in this way that we can hope to arrive at truth, and fulfill the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country. Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards my country, and of an act of disloyalty toward the Majesty of Heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings.

Mr. President, it is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts. Is this the part of wise men, engaged in a great and arduous struggle for liberty? Are we disposed to be of the number of those who, having eyes, see not, and, having ears, hear not, the things which so nearly concern their temporal salvation? For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and to provide for it.

I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience. I know of no way of judging of the future but by the past. And judging by the past, I wish to know what there has been in the conduct of the British ministry for the last ten years to justify those hopes with which gentlemen have been pleased to solace themselves and the House. Is it that insidious smile with which our petition has been lately received? Trust it not, sir; it will prove a snare to your feet. Suffer not yourselves to be betrayed with a kiss. Ask yourselves how this gracious reception of our petition comports with those warlike preparations which cover our waters and darken our land. Are fleets and armies necessary to a work of love and reconciliation? Have we shown ourselves so unwilling to be reconciled that force must be called in to win back our love? Let us not deceive ourselves, sir. These are the implements of war and subjugation; the last arguments to which kings resort. I ask gentlemen, sir, what means this martial array, if its purpose be not to force us to submission? Can gentlemen assign any other possible motive for it? Has Great Britain any enemy, in this quarter of the world, to call for all this accumulation of navies and armies? No, sir, she has none. They are meant for us: they can be meant for no other. The battle against American socialism was temporarily lost yesterday, but the war rages on. Most of us have never really fought for anything important in this life. If you have, God bless you. If you have had any doubts about the intentions of this administration I would hope that it is clear that their end game is control.

BT comment: It is hard to embellish on what Ms. Schlafly has already penned here so succinctly. It shouldn't take long for this promise to be broken and proved to be the sham that it is. Stupak is either very naive or very corrupt. My argument all along has been that if you are standing against this bill due to your moral imperative regarding abortion, then where is your morality against the bill as a whole? It is immoral and anti-constitutional to compel the American people to buy any good or service. So what started as The Stupak Amendment is now an executive order pledged by a known liar.
I personally think that the representative is stupid. Or maybe just gullible. Stupid to not understand how Washington politics works. Gullible for falling for anything this administration has promised him. In the end, a Democrat is a Democrat, is a Liberal, is a Progressive, is a Marxist, is a Socialist, etc.. Just as there is no Santa Claus, no Easter Bunny, no Tooth Fairy, there is no such thing as a Blue Dog Democrat.

Leave it to a blues-based, heavy metal British band from the 70's to offer up a happy sounding, bluegrass tune. The original title was supposed to be "Tubesteak", just like the title of "War and Peace" was originally entitled "War, What Is It Good For?" Personally I like hamburgers more, but since there is no song dedicated to chopped steak that I know of, "Hotdog" is a good choice to bid winter a long overdue farewell. I like mine with spicy mustard, relish and chopped onion on a Martin's potato roll.

Country For Sale



My fellow Americans... your country is on the sales block. At what price you ask. Well, the bottom line is your freedom. Who's buying it? The Obama administration by way of your representatives. The irony is that it is being bought and you are being sold out with your own hard earned dollars.
These said representatives are selling their votes for Obamacare(a misnomer since he doesn't even know what the hell is in it)for little perks and bones being thrown their way by our Liar and Chief and his minions(Pelosi and Reid). Instead of listening to their constituents or more importantly adhering to the Constitution they have sworn to protect and uphold, they are having their ears tickled by this lying sack of manure President and are only concerned about their own political futures.
My friends, America is not for sale. Our votes are not for sale. I am not for sale. You cannot put a price on freedom or integrity. Our Constitution is not negotiable. As I have said before, the borrower is slave to the lender. Do you want to be a slave to anyone or anything, let alone a cold, heartless government that only seeks it's own ends?
America is a country that was founded on freedom and rugged individualism. What Obama is seeking to implement is what our Founding Fathers came here to get away from. Why in heaven's name would we want to return to brutal over arching authority and taxation without any representation?
I fear that we have taken our freedom for granted for far too long. We are an anomaly in human history. Most of human history is dominated by slavery and brutal dictatorships. We are the only republic founded on the principle that our rights and freedoms come from God. I beg you to reclaim those freedoms as well as the responsibilities our Founders realized some 200 years ago. If we do not seize this moment, we will, like other failed society's will be cast into the ash heap of history.

Obamacare... Where you pay more and get less

On the eve of what could be the biggest government entitlement Jefferson's quote rings ominously true. The Bible says that the borrower is slave to the lender. In other words, the one who receives is beholden to the giver. But in this country we believe(or atleast the Founding Father believed) that our rights come from God. He is the one to whom we are beholden. And if our rights come from Him no man can take them away. But this government and this administration are quickly absconding what God has freely granted. But they are not completely to blame. Many in our country's
electorate are giving unlimited license to this government to take away our rights. They want a nanny state. They want the government to supply all of their needs(at the expense of those of us who work hard for a living). They want what they call "social justice". A leveling of the playing field. Taking from the have's and giving to the work not's.
The passage of this monumental Obamacare health reform bill will signal the end of this country as we have known it. It is wildly unpopular, expensive and socialist at it's very core. It promises to give us everything that we want in socialized medicine. But think about it. Who is going to pay for this? We are already in the bag for over $12,000,000,000,000.00. Yeah, that's trillions. But even more costly than the all of the trillions or dollars(the taxes we will be paying) is that we will be losing something more precious... Our Freedom!!! A government that can dictate who gets what treatment. Basically, who ultimately lives and who dies. I know it sounds extreme but it will come to that when care has to be rationed because there is only so much money to pay for it and only so much medical attention and medicine to go around. Just ask someone from England or Canada. Oh, and another thing... If this becomes law you WILL have to buy into it. If not, you will be fined. It is unconstitutional for the government to force you to buy anything. But that doesn't stop Obama and the progressive liberals. Liberals have long shown their disdain for the laws of our land. Or more specifically the Constitution. They believe that we are a nation of men and not laws with they being the ruling elite class. It is time for us as Americans to know our rights, know our history and shape our own future.
So back to Jefferson... His warning that this present government that promises health coverage for all can(and in my educated opinion, will) in the end take everything that we have. Actually, once they lay claim to our freedom, there will be nothing else worth taking. Or for that matter, worth having.

BT afterthought: This monstrosity will begin to be paid for by us as soon as BO signs it into law. However, the benefits(if that's what you want to call them)don't kick in for atleast four years later. To put it into perspective, it would be like buying a car that you never even laid eyes on. Started making payments on the 10 year loan immediately, but didn't take receipt of the vehicle until four years into your loan payments. Maybe not the best example but close enough. You get the idea. Don't buy this car from Bad Deal Barack.

Massengill Award Winner of the Week-Charlie Rangel



No, this is not a beached whale(please see Jehmu the Killer Whale entry). This is your hard earned tax dollars at work. This week Representative Charlie Rangel finally relented and stepped down(temporarily?) as head of the Ways and Means Comittee. These are the guys that write the tax code. I didn't say that they abide by it, they just write it. Just like "Turbo Tax" Timmy Geithner who heads up the IRS and was appointed by Obama(and failed to pay his income tax), he has a vast degree of difficulty adhering to the same tax laws that you and I obey with slavish trepidation.
Rangel is accused of receiving unethical gifts of renumeration and failure to declare income and assets. Blaming his appointed underlings for failure to catch these oversights, he vows that his absence from the chairmanship is temporary. I guess he thought that his past service(thank you for your service Mr. Rangel)in a segregated military and the fact that he is a minority, gives him special privileges. If you haven't noticed by now, Lady Justice wears a blindfold. She cares not about past service or skin color.
When I see this guy it's a toss up as to which word comes to mind first. Pompous or Arrogant? I guess he thought that 40 years in office would give him immunity from any kind of ethics investigation. Turns out he is the poster boy(nothing racial implied here)for term limits.
If justice were sure and swift Rangel and Geithner would be sharing a cell in a federal prison with Geithner administering Rangel's weekly pedicures as they swap stories of their financial felonies. But Lady Justice is the one female the feminists,as well as liberals, fail to rally behind. So for now, I will enjoy Rangel's absence even though his Democrat successor may well be just as corrupt. I will give Charlie this, he was at times quite colorful(again, nothing racial implied here) if not infuriating. So for now we bid adieu to the ex-chairman with the gravely voice.

Jehmu the Killer Whale on O'Reilly



The NCAA took a Focus on the Family ad off of its Web site after homosexual activists complained.

The print ad shows a father holding his young son. It’s titled:

Celebrate Family. Celebrate Life.

And the picture is captioned:

All I want for my son is for him to grow up knowing how to do the right thing.

The activists claimed Focus was too controversial for being pro-life, and in favor of one-man, one-woman marriage. They said that runs counter to the NCAA’s policies.

Gary Schneeberger, vice president of ministry communications at Focus on the Family, said he was “befuddled” by the NCAA’s decision.

“Have we really become a society where it’s considered distasteful and controversial for a dad to hope the best for his son?” he said. “If so, we have a lot of soul-searching to do as a nation.”


BT Comment: I saw this freedom hating abortion supporter on O'Reilly tonight. This was not the first time for Jehmu of the Womens Media Center. She was there defending the NCAA decision to pull the Focus on the Family ad from their website. The ad is not blatantly christian or even spiritual. Just supportive of the traditional family unit. She stated that the ad did not conform to it's audience at the NCAA who are "tolerant". She must have said the word "tolerant" atleast 4 or 5 times. Then at the end of her diatribe she said how they would not stand for this type of ad. Does she not know what the hell tolerant means?!
See, liberals, especially the radical left, cannot win in the arena of ideas. They either have to shut down, shout down or denegrate the oppositon. In this case, she exulted in the shut down. Obviously another pro free speech activist. But as you know, the 1st Amendment doesn't give you the right to yell FIRE in a crowded theatre. I guess as far as Shamu is concerned you can't print LIFE on a NCAA website either.
