Jefferson vs The Obama's

"If the people let government decide
what foods they eat and what medicines they take,
their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state
as are the souls of those who live under tyranny."

Thomas Jefferson

  2. Since Americans seem to be bent on killing themselves with bad nutrition, if there isn't one in place already, the FDA needs a checks and balance system to intervene when all evidence suggests certain danger. For example all items containing the artificial sweetener Aspertame (Nutrasweet) ought to bear a warning from the Surgeon General.

  3. A warning, fine. But to take away peoples freedom to choose what to eat or how much to eat is wrong. Just as God offered Adam and Eve a choice, we too should have that option. It is the essence of freedom. To succeed or to fail. Without it there is tyranny.

  4. Agreed.

While preparing her coffee each morning and anticipating her response, I shudder every time I ask this one diabetic lady with hemiparesis and aphasia from a stroke and seizure disorder if she wants 'The Usual Poison' or the healthy alternative, Stevia.

    Shudddddder....
